    Gavin Hood wants YOU to see Ender’s Game!

    Thanks to Summit Entertainment, EnderWiggin.net has 10 passes (2 persons each pass) to give away for an advance IMAX screening of Ender’s Game tomorrow, Wednesday October 30, 2013 at Regal Dole Cannery Theatres. We are also doing a giveaway of 35 additional passes at the local Air Force base here on Oahu.

    If you can make it to the screening, it will be at 7:30 pm. I just saw it yesterday and am dying to see it again!

    To claim a ticket, simply email me at valentine@enderwiggin.net with the subject ENDER’S GAME IMAX HONOLULU and your full name. One pass per person. Each pass is good for two. These are being given out on a first come, first serve basis. Please do not email if you can’t make it.

    I will be there, so hope to see you there to see Ender’s Game early! Winners will hear from me by tonight when I return to Honolulu!

    Attention all Launchies! Looks like the next Battle School competition has begun and it’s to reveal the IMAX poster for Ender’s Game! Be sure to log in to help unlock it!

    People who visit the International Fleet Battle School site (http://www.if-battleschool.com) can enlist by taking a Strategic Aptitude Test that determines their military strength & knowledge, and therefore, which army within the International Fleet they’re assigned to.  Users are provided a personalized ID badge representing their army.

    The second battle has begun! Cadets must enter the Battle Room and login to their army to compete. SHARE your Army ID badge on Twitter to help your army reveal the official IMAX poster, and the winning army will have the honor of becoming a part of the poster!

  • ‘Ender’s Game’ to Be Released in IMAX Theaters

    ‘Ender’s Game’ to Be Released in IMAX Theaters

    In a conference call today with analysts, Lionsgate revealed that Ender’s Game will be getting an IMAX release next November. Opening three weeks before ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’, the highly anticipated sequel to ‘The Hunger Games’, Ender’s Game will be the first of two Lionsgate IMAX movies in one month.

    Another interesting bit to come out of that call is the fact that Lionsgate execs referred to Ender’s Games as a “franchise”, which is an exciting prospect for fans hoping to see a sequel to the movie put into production.

    “There’s a lot of books,” Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said. “We’re excited about the franchise.”

    But he did temper expectations slightly, noting, “it’s a very different kind of franchise than ‘The Hunger Games.’”

    There’s no arguing that fact, with the book sequel to Ender’s Game taking place thousands of years later. However, you never know with movies. They could just age Ender down (as opposed to up for Ender’s Game) greatly to keep actor Asa Butterfield on as Ender Wiggin for potential sequels. Let’s hope the movie is a success, thus ensuring us more movies in the Enderverse!
